Joe Media Group is a digital publisher serving up content on news, politics, sports and pop-culture. Between 2021 and 2022, I worked on their Trending News Team as a sub-editor and writer for Joe.co.uk.
Subbing, writing and editing news stories quickly and accurately in a highly pressurised, time-sensitive environment was a key part of this position. I also created an in-house style guide for JOE's editorial and social team to use. Training new members of staff, improving their writing and working on the creation, scheduling and editing of JOE's primary social media platforms were also daily tasks.
