A Bald Statement

This was a bit of a weird one. Karl was open to doing some press around the UK DVD release of 'The Moaning of Life' Series 2, so I pitched an idea to Shortlist to see if they were interested.

Initially, I thought it could be fun to get Karl's tips on how to live a happy life based on his recent life-altering travels. I packaged up the pitch and shot it off to my contact. The good news was they were interested in running a piece, the tricky news was that they'd prefer Karl to do a 'rant' type piece on the cockiness of chiseled actors who go bald in an attempt to bag Academy gold. 

That's how I found myself asking Karl Pilkington a selection of interview questions that were almost entirely focused around his bald head. Thankfully, my experience knocking up 'Grilling' pieces for Loaded came in handy here, having already asked a few other celebs some tricky questions in the past, I was able to keep everything lighthearted.
